So you’ve decided to take the plunge and try Japanese double cleansing. We’re thrilled! Whether your issue is dryness, oiliness, acne or fatigued skin, you are going to be so happy with the results.
Double cleansing—washing with an oil-based cleanser followed by a lathering cleanser—leaves your skin much cleaner and softer than washing your face the old way. Better yet, your newly deep-cleaned skin will be primed to soak up the benefits of every beauty product on your shelf for the ultimate glow.
What’s My Skin Type?
Before choosing a double cleanse regimen, you’ll want to nail down your skin type. Wash your face and wait two hours without applying any products, then take a good long look in the mirror. Dry skin may appear flaky and feel tight; oily skin will have shiny areas and may be prone to breakouts; combination skin will usually appear oily in the T-Zone of your forehead, nose and chin; and normal skin will appear smooth with no obvious oily or dry spots.
Pick a Double Cleanse
Now that you’ve determined your skin type, let’s get cleansing. Our oil cleansers are formulated with organic olive oil (never mineral oil!) and our lathering cleansers contain nutritive, pampering ingredients like honey, rosemary and citrus. We’ve formulated double cleanse regimens for every skin type. Remember to apply cleansing oil only to your dry face with dry hands.
